Sankey’s art practice can be defined within geo-feminism. Katherine was born in Paris is Australian Irish and is based in Dublin. Solo exhibitions include Containment currently at RUA RED and Pallas P/S in November and The Lab in the coming year. Forthcoming group shows are Woman in the Machine, VISUAL, Carlow; Platform 21 at Draíocht (where she will take up a 6 mth residency in June) - and Five Lamps Arts Festival at CHQ in July. She was 2020 recipient of the Fire Station Artists’ Studios Sculpture Award and gave a ‘Plinth Politics’ talk at the Royal Hibernian Academy last February, was invited artist in last year’s RHA Annual Exhibition and showed in TULCA 2019 – Tactical Magic.
