Jennifer Smith is a visual artist from rural Ireland . She received a Bachelor Degree of Fine Art, Painting in 2005 from Limerick School of Art & Design in Ireland. It was in Limerick that she first began exploring the female nude on large canvas, writing her thesis on perceptions and representations of the female nude.
Jennifer is currently part of several online group exhibitions including with Artistellar and The Curators. She is a member of Nua collective and The Ladies Drawing Club. Jennifers work has been exhibited in Ireland, London and the Netherlands. Highlights include a solo show in Ireland. She was one of six young artists selected to exhibit with the Young Art Crowd at the Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
Jennifer is founder of Clovermill Artist Residency. Clovermill is a free collaboration Residency on the grounds of an old water mill with a focus on female artists and curators. www.clovermill.nl. There are several projects planned later this year.
