Brian Duggan lives and works in Dublin. Usually working from extensive research the artist navigates unusual cracks and problems within particular structural frameworks, taking both personal testimonies, throw away comments and official documents to build and explore overlooked situations. His recent work was selected for Home in the Glucksman Gallery Cork 2021. His work is included in the permanent collections of the Arts Council of Ireland, The Hugh Lane Gallery, the OPW national collection, Trinity College Dublin, the National portrait collection the Irish Museum of Modern Art and private collections. He has had a number of significant solo exhibitions including Project Dublin, Balzer Projects Basel, Art Brussels, Irish Museum of Modern Art Process room, The Hugh Lane, G126 & Pallas Heights. He has received numerous awards from the Arts Council of Ireland and Culture Ireland. His work is represented by Balzer projects in Basel, Switzerland, and Gibbons and Nicholas Dublin.
